Please find correspondence below regarding an update on our new building.
I was at the IPPN conference and spoke to other schools re. It seems that the RAPID build takes roughly 8-9 months for completion. We had inputted a lot over the past few years into what we thought was our new building and had made changes- eg a roof garden, changes to room layouts, different access routes to classrooms on ground level etc – I am unsure if any of this will be included as it seems to be a similar building on all sites.
I did contact the Dept but have no feedback as of yet. We will be called to Tullamore for a meeting at some stage and will have an outline regarding the timeframe etc. I will update you after I have this meeting.
Thanks to the Board, the previous Board, staff, and parents for their support. We should also mention the two fifth classes. They wrote very interesting and honest letters to the Minster last term regarding their frustration with the lack of progress!
This is great news and we hope that we will be in the new school at some stage during the 2018/2019 school year.
I am writing to you with regard to the building project for Belmayne ETNS.
Following discussions with the design team the Department has concluded that the tender and construction stages of this project would be best delivered through the Departments “RAPID” Design & Build programme.
The change of delivery method will not delay the project, but will deliver your permanent accommodation in a more expedient manner.
The Design team has been advised that this project is being transferred to the Design & Build programme and have been requested to prepare all relevant documentation for submission to the Department as soon as possible.
My colleagues in the RAPID Design & Build programme will be in contact with you shortly to further explain the process and to outline the shortened timeframe for tender and construction stages.
Congrats the school’s junior and senior quiz teams who did really well recently. The senior team finished second in the local qualifiers and the junior team finished in first place, progressing to the north Dublin finals. ...
