About Our School

Dear Parents / Guardians,

Welcome to Belmayne Educate Together N.S.! Here at Belmayne ETNS we strive to ensure that all children receive a balanced education which will enable them to reach their potential in a positive, learning environment.

We see the children as individuals, with each student progressing at a level appropriate to their needs within the school community context through exploration of different cultures and traditions. Our school ethos promotes inclusiveness and celebrates diversity.

Children explore all cultures as this is relevant to modern Ireland today.  There is also a strong emphasis in the school on the Irish culture and language.

Belmayne ETNS acknowledges and respects the relationship between home, the school and the community.

I am delighted to welcome you to our school community and I believe that your child will be very happy in our school and that we will have a successful united relationship together.

Mise le meas,
Sinéad O’Meara (School Principal)

“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it.’’

Our Facilities

Astro Pitch

We have a state-of-the-art Astro pitch. A two-lane running track also surrounds the Astro. This was installed two years ago, allowing our students to safely play outside all year round. The Astro is also used to train our GAA, Soccer and Athletics teams and by several community clubs such as Trinity Gaels, Clongriffin Athletics Club, and Belmayne Educate Together Secondary School.

iPad School

The Board of Management have invested significantly over the last five years. School iPads are used extensively across the school to support the learning needs of all pupils. We work hard to safely and responsibly develop all students’ digital literacy skills.

Sensory Areas

We have installed three sensory areas around the school, one on every level, to support the needs of our students. Our Additional Needs Assistants and Support Staff have been trained to use the sensory resources best to help the children’s needs.

School Hall

Our school hall is one of our most used resources. The school hall hosts the school’s afterschool club, weekly whole-school assemblies, regular parent classes, staff meetings and the 6th class graduation. The hall can hold over 500 people.

Interactive Screens

Every class has an interactive screen to make lessons as visual and engaging as possible. We also mirror our iPads to the screen to provide clear demonstrations and to showcase student work to the whole class. We also have one portable interactive screen used by our Special Education Team.

Audio Visual System

One of the first investments we made when our new school opened was an audio-visual system for our hall. We have a 15-foot by 10-foot retractable screen, a long throw projector and four speakers. These greatly enhance school graduations and assemblies.
