The Principal is employed for the day to day running and management of the school. The Principal is responsible for teaching and learning decisions with input from teaching staff. Any decisions that a Principal makes are always answerable to our Board of Management.

We have a very active Board and Chairperson. Duties would include employment of staff, finance, overseeing any decisions made and ensuring that the school is running effectively. All decisions are made taking into account all the children in the school.

Examples of what a BOM deals with presently include changes in policies, school finance, parental involvement, challenges to teaching and learning, the rapid growth and expansion of the area around the school.

At all meetings reports are given from the Principal, the Treasurer and the Parent Council. All members have different roles and are very effective in these roles.

Some members of our BOM have a vested interest in our school as they are parents themselves. However, the BOM has a very strict code of confidentiality that all members must adhere to therefore any correspondence must be addressed to the Chairperson.

Belmayne ETNS operates under the ET Head Office.
